The Salmon Derby’s mission is to provide a family-friendly fishing event while supporting the community. Approximately 90% of donated funds are reinvested into advertising (radio, print, posters, banners, social media) to promote sponsors, prizes, and payouts and to maximize visibility for Derby partners. The event also funds student scholarships in fish rehabilitation and environmental studies and supports nonprofits including the Brewster, Pateros, and Bridgeport Senior Center, the Boys and Girls Club, local food banks, and youth-focused fishing and sporting events.

The Mandatory Skippers Meeting is Thursday Evening JULY 30 at 6:00 pm at the Derby Gazebo in the Park by the boat launch. You will pick up your Skipper pack including the Boat Marker and Wrist Bands there. The Side Pots, and T-Shirts will be available at the Meeting. T-shirts are for sale all weekend.

JULY 31, AUG 1,2-2026,The Brewster Salmon Derby is excited to welcome you back to Brewster and thank you for joining us for our Annual Brewster Salmon Derby, which always takes place on the first full weekend in August.
For more information, please contact the Derby Headquarters at 509-449-0605. Our Derby office and headquarters are situated at BREWSTER BAIT AND TACKLE SHOP 1408 Sunset Drive, Brewster. We have the fishing tackle and bait you need for our local River and Lakes! Summer hours will be 7:00am – 6:00pm but during the Derby Weekend will be open longer hours catering to the fishermen. For business hours, you can always text or call.
